We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. The Van Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Duties

Drive a van to deliver goods and materials to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist with heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, preferably as a Van Driver. Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driving licence. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
