Van Driver (multi Drop)
Job Description
Gee's Haulage is a family run transport company based in Wakefield that has been up and running for over 40 years. We are looking for a Van Delivery Driver to come to join our existing team due to the start of new contracts.
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations around the UK. Reporting to the Transport Manager, your core skills in driving and numeracy will be essential for checking your stock and unload tasks. This would involve manual loading/unloading of your vehicle to commercial and domestic properties. Your premium experience as a delivery driver, along with your commercial driving knowledge, will ensure timely deliveries. Join us to be a vital part of our team.
Preferred Qualities and Skills of our Van Delivery Driver:
A positive 'can do' attitude with the ability to work well under pressure Ideally a good knowledge of the UK road network Be polite & courteous A team player approach Good levels of physical fitness Flexibility on working hours. Experience preferred but not essential Good literacy and numeracy skills Good spoken English
Full training would be given to the successful applicant by one of our experienced driver trainers in all aspects of the job.
Hours as below;
You would be expected to work 5 shifts per week Monday to Friday along with alternate Saturdays (All with varied start and finish times)
Rate of pay
12.21 per hour Monday to Friday
16.50 per hour (Overtime) Saturdays
A 4-weekly bonus of 220.00 for attendance & performance
A service loyalty bonus to be had for every completed year of employment.
Wages paid weekly on a Friday
