Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team for holiday cover on a long term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with warehouse staff and clients.

Responsibilities

Safely drive the van to various locations for deliveries and pickups. Load and unload fresh food produce ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times and locations. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in warehouse operations when not on the road, including inventory management and organisation of goods.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Van Driver is essential. Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a warehouse environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and delivery schedules.
