DELIVERY DRIVER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Hours:

The hours are Monday & Tuesday, 11am to 4pm.

Plus, overtime to cover our Wednesday to Friday driver when on holiday and sick.

The work

:

You will be required to deliver the goods that are despatched from our warehouse in plastic tote boxes, using our LWB Ford Transit Van. This will involve driving; loading and unloading the van; parking at the shops; collecting and delivering internal mail bags and inter branch transfers; and collecting empty totes and recycling/waste and returning them to the warehouse.

General warehouse work.

The job will involve lifting, bending, stretching, and carrying.

You will be responsible for checking the van (oil, water, tyres etc.) and keeping the van clean and fuelled.

The van delivers daily from Chelmsford to 8 shops in Billericay, Brentwood, Chelmsford, Gidea Park, Ingatestone, and Wickford.

You will need to be:

Physically fit

A good team worker as well as being able to work independently

Able to work quickly and efficiently

Able to complete paperwork

Able to comply with health and safety and other regulations

Honest and reliable.

Qualifications:

A full, clean driving licence

Training:

Training will be on the job, and cover skills such as lifting, carrying, and loading techniques, completing paperwork, and understanding health and safety.

References:

You will need to be able to provide two references, one of which should be from your current or most recent employer.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.46 per hour
