Join our friendly team as a Van Driver/Customer Support team member for KFR Swindon! This site has recently become part of KFR so it's a time of dynamic and exciting change - we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic to be part of this with us. You'll have experience driving a 3.5 tonne Luton van and have great knowledge of manual handling procedure.
Your standard working pattern will be a Monday - Friday but this role will require some occasional Saturday work, for which you'll receive time off in lieu.
What you'll do
Work a hybrid role between our van routes (delivering and collecting furniture, customer service) and working on our shop floor.
Provide outstanding customer support by addressing inquiries and assisting with any issues during transit.
Load and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring all items are secured for transport.
Support and mentor younger work experience volunteers (for this reason, you will need to willing to provide details for a DBS check).
Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate schedules and logistics.
Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
Be enthusiastic about recycling and furniture reuse. #reuserevolution
Assist in training new drivers on best practices for safety and customer service.
Basic qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members.
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
A good knowledge of the Swindon and Wiltshire local area.
