Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced individual for the role of Van Driver-Factory Operative. This position involves operating commercial vehicles, primarily 3.5t vans, to facilitate deliveries and logistics. The successful candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. Duties

Safely operate Company vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies. Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery schedules. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks; report any mechanical issues promptly. Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring items are secured correctly for transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules or delays. Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and stock organisation. This may include any jobs on the factory floor. Adhere to all health and safety standards, including compliance with driving hours regulations.

Qualifications

Experience in driving 3.5t vehicles is desirable. Delivery driver experience is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid UK driver's licence with a clean driving record. Experience working in warehouse environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. Familiarity with road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo transport.
