About the Role

Elliott Baxter & Company Ltd (EBB) is seeking a reliable and proactive

Van Driver / Warehouse Operative

to join our busy Coalville distribution team. This is a dual-role position involving both warehouse duties and multidrop van deliveries to our customers across the region.

We're looking for someone with great attention to detail, pride in their work, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. You'll play a key part in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately, safely, and on time - every time.

Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operative:

Accurately pick, scan, and prepare orders in line with company procedures. Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment. Follow all training and safe systems of work, including manual handling and Health & Safety requirements. Complete relevant paperwork or digital records promptly and accurately. Report any damages, near misses, or hazards to management immediately.

As a Van Driver:

Carry out daily multidrop deliveries using a van, ensuring all deliveries are made safely, on time, and in full. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company policy. Handle goods carefully during loading, transport, and delivery. Provide excellent customer service at every drop, representing EBB in a professional manner. Ensure the vehicle is kept clean, tidy, and roadworthy. Follow all driving, road safety, and legal compliance standards.

Essential Skills and Experience

Full, clean UK driving licence (B category). Previous experience in a multidrop delivery or warehouse environment. Strong focus on customer service and professionalism. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail. Physically fit, reliable, and safety-conscious. Flexible and team-oriented attitude. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is beneficial. Previous experience working in a food-safe or hygiene-controlled environment.
