Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing various tasks related to the handling and movement of goods. Duties

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Perform stocking duties, ensuring shelves are replenished as needed. Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for shipping. Participate in shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency. Assist with basic mechanical tasks as required, leveraging any mechanical knowledge you may possess. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with materials handling techniques is essential. Experience with picking & packing processes is beneficial. Knowledge of shipping & receiving protocols is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Proficiency in using AS400 or similar inventory management software is a plus. A background in construction may be advantageous due to the physical nature of the work. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are necessary for success in this position.
