Van Driver/warehouse Operative
Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Van Driver/ Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in materials handling and warehouse operations. This position involves loading and unloading goods, utilizing warehouse management systems, and ensuring timely deliveries.
Duties:
- Safely operate a van to transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload items from the van
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage during transport
- Perform heavy lifting when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the van
Experience:
- Prior experience in warehouse operations is preferred
- Ability to build and secure loads effectively
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Time management and ability to deliver supplies safely, timely and in tight deadlines
