We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires a combination of driving expertise and effective communication skills, making it essential for the successful operation of our logistics.
Duties
Safely operate a van to transport goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Skills
Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients.
Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently.
A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
