Job Description

We are seeking an experienced VAT Manager to join our dynamic Tax team.

Role Overview:

As the VAT Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of indirect tax

compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring VAT processes are efficient, accurate,

and aligned with regulatory requirements, while also advising the business on complex

VAT matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee UK VAT compliance including preparation and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat reports Provide expert VAT advice Lead VAT risk assessments and implement process improvements Manage relationships with HMRC Support internal and external VAT audits Keep up to date with changes in VAT legislation and assess business impact Train and support junior team members and business units on VAT awareness and best practices
Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in UK VAT/ Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT legislation Experience of Xero/Quickbooks/Sage or any other software is essential Experience managing VAT compliance processes and providing advisory support Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) preferred but not essential
