Who are we?



Volvo Car Financial Services UK (VCFSUK) is the financial services provider to Volvo Car UK operating across the Volvo Retailer Network. Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting job opening within the Field Sales Team as a Regional Finance Development Manager covering South West England, South Wales, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Hampshire (approximately 18 retailers).

What you'll do



You will be part of an exceptional fast-paced field-based team within VCFSUK. We need people who can achieve the exceptional by working collaboratively, who can see the world the way our customers see it, ensuring that we innovate and plan to stay a step ahead.


Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Retailer Senior Management and Sales teams in the specified region to deliver excellent customer outcomes. You will do this by promoting effective practices across all areas of finance sales and supporting the National strategy.


Manage and build positive working relationships with Retailers in the Region. Achieve targets for a given period by conducting business reviews, analysing the root cause of performance, setting action plans and measurable objectives to maximise sales and volume aspirations. Provide tailored consultancy and coaching to Retailers on a face-to-face and remote basis across New and Used car finance. Drive customer loyalty through influencing Retailers to follow robust finance renewals processes, and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer experience is embedded in the culture of the business. Regularly review MI with Retailers to ensure excellent customer outcomes are consistently achieved. Produce clear and concise visit reports to support action plan follow-ups. Support the launch of quarterly finance offers and initiatives, ensuring Retailers quickly absorb the details and produce robust action plans.

Do you fit the profile?



We are looking for a person with a strong track record in a similar role within automotive retail finance.


The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills that would allow you to build key relationships, influence, and negotiate at all levels of Management. You will be able to maintain an operational focus and influence the performance of the Retailers' finance sales operations.


You will also have a clear understanding of the current finance regulatory environment, with further experience in working with Retailers to ensure sales processes are compliant and deliver good customer outcomes. You will be confident in recommending new processes, refinement to existing processes or changes to process management.


You will be self-assured and competent in managing and performing in a field-based territory, contributing actively to a high-performing team while having the strength to work for long periods on an individual basis.


You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, and be analytical in order to interpret key statistical information so you can build comprehensive action plans to achieve agreed sales KPI's.

This is a field-based role covering the South West so ideally you will be based within this area as you will have regular travel across this region and periodic visits to our Head Office in Maidenhead, Berkshire, and Volvo's Training & Development Centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
