Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced mechanic to join our busy used vehicle dealership, based in Hawick.
The successful candidate will work alongside our current team of 3 technicians in a friendly, welcoming & supportive environment. Helping prepare our used stock for sale. Working on newer vehicles, carrying out servicing, general maintenance and repairs.
The Role
Helping with the preparation of our used sales stock Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a high standards Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based diagnostic equipment Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects Road testing vehicles to check repairs Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed Completing all documentation to the required standard
Essential Skills
The ability to work in a competent and efficient manner on your own or part of a busy team Strong communication skills Excellent timekeeping and punctiuality Good attention to detail The ability to carry out work to high standards to deadlines A proactive and enthusiastic approach A full, clean UK driving licence
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon-Fri.
Salary: Negotiable DOE
