Vehicle Preparation Technician

25sevencampers is an established specialist reseller of VW campervans.

We sell safe, high quality VW campers that have been prepared and checked by professionals.

Due to the expansion of our services, we are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and trustworthy Vehicle Preparation Technician to join our team.

Role:

Vehicle Preparation Technician

Reports to:

Vehicle Preparation Manager

Job Summary:

This is a practical hands-on role supporting the Vehicle Preparation Manager to ensure that all our VW campervans are prepared to our high standards. The majority of this role is vehicle valeting and will involve working on vehicles both outside and in our workshop throughout the year. Other elements such as small remedial repairs and general upkeep of the workshop and showroom also feature. The successful candidate should have a positive can-do attitude and be capable of working both off their own initiative and under direction. Full training will be provided by a very experienced vehicle preparer with the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills in this field.

Hours of work:

Permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday 9:00 to 5:00

Rate of pay

: 12 per hour

Key Role Responsibilities:

Full interior and exterior valet of campervans

Machine polishing of bodywork

Rectification of minor defects to interior and exterior of vehicle

Final preparation of vehicles for viewings and handovers

Completion of preparation worksheets

General housekeeping of workshop and showroom

Assisting with vehicle logistics e.g. taking a vehicle to offsite mechanics

General support to the Vehicle Preparation Manager

Key Skills:

Self-motivated and able to work as a part of a small team

High attention to detail, yet able to complete tasks on time

Willing to learn new skills to develop into role further

Polite and respectful of customers and their property

Comfortable working outdoors

Desirable:

Experience of following set procedures and processes

Experience of vehicle valeting or detailing

Essential:

Full UK driving license held for a minimum 3yrs, with a maximum of 6 points for minor offences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
