Job Description

Saltmarine Cars on the main M1 Motorway have an opportunity for a Vehicle Repair Estimator to join our expanding team.

This is a newly created position with exciting growth potential. In this role, you'll serve as a vital connection between our technicians and customers, providing accurate estimates, coordinating bookings, and ensuring a top-tier service experience from start to finish.

Main Duties:

Review repair recommendations from technicians and produce clear, precise estimates. Accurately calculate all costs, including labour, parts, and materials. Communicate estimates to customers in a clear, honest, and easy-to-understand manner. Act as a liaison between customers and technicians to maintain seamless communication. Assess pricing to ensure repairs are both cost-effective and profitable. Convert approved estimates into scheduled repair bookings. Order required parts to align with scheduled repairs. Provide constructive feedback to technicians to ensure estimate accuracy and consistency. Deliver consistently high standards of customer service, integrity, and professionalism.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in vehicle repair or a good understanding of automotive repair processes (preferred). Excellent verbal communication skills, confident engaging with both customers and technicians. Strong attention to detail and precision in cost estimation. Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, solutions-driven approach with a focus on value and efficiency. A strong commitment to honesty, customer satisfaction, and professional integrity.
