As a Vehicle Technician at JLR, you\'ll be at the heart of this work, aiming high along with our expert team. You\'ll continually push the boundaries of innovation, redefine the benchmark for excellence and set the standard for others to follow. Because that\'s how we work at JLR.

To join us, you must be experienced and enthusiastic, with a Level 3 NVQ qualification. However, you\'ll need more than that to excel, we\'re looking for the desire to innovate and learn, as we rethink vehicles in a world of autonomous vehicles, electrification and sustainability.

Make the grade and you\'ll work across the entire product engineering and testing domain, applying innovative technologies within state-of-the-art facilities at our Whitley and Gaydon sites. We have invested heavily to ensure our facilities and equipment are world-class - and now we need outstanding colleagues to make our investment count.

WHAT TO EXPECT :

You\'ll be part of Build and Test Operations or the Powertrain Build and Test Operations function. Whatever your role, you can look forward to innovative, future technologies involving the following:

  • Prototype build of vehicles, rigs, batteries and electric drive units
  • Commissioning and running of test rigs from component to full vehicle
  • Precise refinement of vehicles through our product development vehicle facilities
  • Electrical and electronic tasks from the latest propulsion systems to cutting edge instrumentation
  • Diagnosis and fault finding, adding value at every stage
  • Mechanical and electrical tasks
WHAT YOU WILL NEED :

Knowledge, Skills and Experience :
  • Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds qualified within an automotive field
  • Experience with automotive systems and associated safety standards
Personal attributes
  • You\'re collaborative by nature, working with peers towards delivering a common goal
  • You\'re comfortable working with minimum supervision
  • You may be working on multiple projects, so an agile approach is helpful
