We are looking for a Vehicle Technician for one of our key defence clients on a contract basis. The clients are word leaders in advanced protection system for vehicles and occupants. The Role

The clients are based in Weybridge, Surrey and the duration of the contract is 12 months. The clients are developing next generation equipment and products that are used in various industries such as defence, military, and non-government organisations. This is a great opportunity to work with one of our key clients to deliver a project for our client to make a major contribution for the company. You will be reporting to the workshop manager and deliver mechanical as well as electrical services. The role will be very hands on, and you will have the flexibility approach to adapt and complete tasks. The successful applicants will be working on a 4-day week.

Main Responsibilities.

  • You will be reporting to the workshop manager and assisting them on performance to adhere to project timeline.
  • You will be adhering to general workshop safety and cleaning duties.
  • You will be complying with manufacturing standards and operating with a high level of efficiency.
  • You will be doing vehicle inspections and reporting any issues to the workshop manager.
  • You will be Servicing, diagnosing faults, and repairing vehicles.

Key Requirement
  • You must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years to be eligible for minimum security clearance.
  • You must also go through a DBS Check to work on sight.
  • Has a minimum of a City & Guilds Level 3, or similar, in Automotive Repair or Vehicle Systems.
  • Can demonstrate complex diagnostics and repair experience on both automotive / auto electronic / control / bespoke to role systems.
  • Has an excellent computer literacy and is experienced in the use and operation of automotive diagnostic equipment (notably TechStream, Xentry, IDS, Tech Tool).
  • Will work in accordance with Jankel\'s ISO 9001 and Environmental, Health and Safety processes & procedures.
  • Is numerate and literate to a level appropriate to the role.
  • Has the ability to identify spares parts from parts catalogues and electronic media. Where not clearly identified, definition of a correct spare part shall need to be investigated (with the support of the wider JSS team).
