About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team as Venue Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
Update the daily bank feeds, including Stripe & SumUp payments, within Xero and venue management systems, reconcile payments, identify and investigate any discrepancies
Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and variance analysis
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations with variance analysis
Completion of wedding and function reconciliations within 7 days of the event, liaising with event managers to investigate any discrepancies
Processing of the damage deposit refund within 14 days of the event
Weekly venue bar analysis & cash reconciliation
Collate and analyse monthly costings, reviewing operational KPIs including labour efficiency and F&B margins
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Monthly intercompany reconciliations
Professional Experience
Strong Excel skills
1+ year experience in a similar role (Desirable)
AAT Level 3 qualified (Minimum)
Experience working with Xero (Desirable)
Excellent attention to Detail (Required)

Practical Requirements
This role is full-time working 40 hours per week 9-5pm Monday-Friday exclusively and we are unable to offer this role in a part-time capacity.
Our venue is in a rural location with limited public transport access, which if relying on public transport would entail significant rural walking to reach our venue should you commute this way, therefore its highly preferable that applicants have their own means of transport.
This role is working fully working on site at our premises, no hybrid or remote working is offered
