Spirits Bar & Games is a lively, experience-driven venue combining great drinks, good times, and interactive entertainment. From handcrafted cocktails to unique games and immersive experiences, our aim is to bring people together for memorable nights out. We're now looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Manager to help us take the venue to the next level.
Role Overview
As Venue Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of Spirits Bar & Games, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and an engaging atmosphere. You'll lead by example, actively growing the venue's profile, developing creative ideas, and driving marketing and social media initiatives. You'll be confident both behind the bar and in front of guests, with a knack for creating a fun, well organised environment for both staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Venue Growth
Develop and execute ideas to increase footfall and customer engagement.
Manage and grow the venue's social media presence and online reputation.
Support and implement marketing campaigns and promotional events.
Oversee the daily running of the bar, games areas, and events.
Jump in wherever needed, whether behind the bar, hosting games, or supporting escape room sessions.
Ensure staffing levels are appropriate, staff receive breaks, and maintain positive team morale and communication.
Keep the venue tidy, organised, and compliant with all health and safety standards.
Maintenance & Venue Standards
Carry out basic repairs and maintenance where possible.
Liaise with relevant teams or contractors for larger maintenance issues.
Ensure all areas of the venue are up to company standards at all times.
Financial Awareness
Demonstrate a clear understanding of P&L reports and use this knowledge to make informed decisions that drive profit.
Monitor sales performance, costs, and productivity to identify areas for growth and efficiency.
Oversee stock management, ordering, and wastage tracking.
Team Leadership & Training
Provide ongoing training and support to the team to ensure consistent quality and service.
Foster a positive and motivated work culture, leading by example.
Ensure all new staff are onboarded effectively and understand company standards.
Requirements
Previous experience in bar, hospitality, or venue management.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
Confident with basic maintenance, stock tracking, and operational systems.
Knowledge of P&L management and business growth strategies.
Comfortable with hands-on work. Whether that's mixing drinks, hosting games, or supporting the team.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and Sundays (essential).
Creative, proactive, and able to bring new ideas to the table.
