The Role



We're looking for a hands-on Venue Manager to lead the daily operations and commercial success of Filipa's at Lord's. You'll take full ownership of the cafe's performance -- managing the team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring every guest enjoys a first-class experience. This role blends leadership, operations, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and oversee all daily cafe operations Manage team recruitment, performance, and training Ensure exceptional service standards and product quality Handle stock management, supplier relationships, and cost control Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety Liaise closely with the Founders and Directors on operations and performance Drive the commercial success of the business, overseeing the P&L Coordinate and deliver small-scale events and private bookings Lead by example on the floor, setting the tone for warmth, professionalism, and teamwork

About You



Passionate about first class experience, and a love for simple and delicious food and drink (especially coffee!) Experience in cafe or hospitality management (preferably premium or health-focused environments) Experience delivering small-scale events or private functions Financial awareness and the ability to manage P&L performance Barista experience and Food Hygiene Level 3 certification Organised, approachable, and calm under pressure Naturally leads by example -- focused on detail, team development, and guest satisfaction

Team & Working Style



You'll manage a close-knit team of 3-4 baristas and food prep assistants, with scope to recruit further as the business grows. This is a hands-on leadership role -- you'll be on the floor, supporting your team, serving customers, and shaping the daily rhythm of the cafe alongside leading the operation itself.

Hours, Contract & Rewards



Full-time (five days on, two days off -- cafe open seven days per week) Salary: 45,000-50,000 per year, plus performance-related bonus Opportunity to grow with an ambitious, expanding brand based in one of London's most iconic locations
