Your Role


Capgemini is seeking a Payload Software Verification Engineer to design and execute the verification, on numerical testbench, of satellite payload software. The engineer will collaborate closely with the Feature Architect, Tech Lead, Functional Validation (FV) Test Manager to plan, develop, and execute automated test procedures (Java), ensuring robust verification of satellite payload functionalities.




You will play a key role in:


Analyzing and understanding software requirement specifications and creating test case descriptions for the features to verify. Collaborate with Architect and Tech Lead to break down complex validation tasks into manageable components and ensure efficient implementation. Develop and execute Automated Procedures (APs) using Java for satellite simulators. Prepare configuration files and link scripts to enable automated test execution and create step-by-step procedures for running Java-based test scripts. Perform test execution simulators.Generate concise and clear test execution reports for cross-functional teams. Investigate anomalies observed during testing and ensure traceability using internal tools.

Your Profile

7-8 years of experience in payload software functional validation testing. Past experience in embedded software development field (Embedded C), is a good plus. Strong understanding of space systems, satellite communication protocols, and payload engineering. Familiarity with CCSDS standards (e.g., TC/TM PUS packets, TM frames, TC segments). Proven expertise in safety-critical software testing. Proficiency in Java programming for protocol simulation and test automation. Good working knowledge of Linux OS, version control systems (Git/SVN), and tools like Doors, Jira and Atlassian toolchain.
