About the Role We are seeking an experienced Vertical Borer and/or Manual Lathe Turner to join our friendly manufacturing team. If you take pride in delivering precise, high-quality components and enjoy practical, hands-on work, this could be an excellent fit. You'll operate manual turning lathes to manufacture parts to exact specifications, with quality and accuracy at the core of everything you do.

What You'll Be Doing

Operate manual turning lathes and related equipment to produce parts according to drawings and specifications Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files (SolidWorks experience is a bonus) Set up tooling and fixtures for both production runs and one-off jobs Perform quality checks on finished components to ensure they meet standards Conduct routine start-up checks on machinery and report any issues Assemble parts when required, using hand tools and precise measurements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
What We're Looking For

Hands-on experience with vertical borers and/or manual turning lathes and a solid understanding of conventional machining Ability to work from raw materials through to finished parts Good basic maths skills for accurate measuring and calculations Great attention to detail and a commitment to quality A team player who can also work independently when needed Previous experience in conventional machining is essential
