Key Responsibilities:
Operate manual lathes and vertical borers to machine components to tight tolerances
Interpret and work from engineering drawings and CAD files (SolidWorks experience is advantageous)
Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for both one-off and batch production runs
Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
Perform routine checks on machinery and report maintenance issues as required
Assemble components where necessary using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience operating vertical borers and/or manual lathes in a traditional machining environment
Ability to work from raw material to finished component with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Solid mathematical skills for precise measurement and calculation
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when required
Previous experience in a similar manual machining role is essential
