We are seeking an experienced

Vertical Borer and/or Manual Lathe Turner

to join our skilled and friendly manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in producing

high-precision components

to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities



Operate

manual lathes

and

vertical borers

to machine components to precise tolerances Read and interpret

engineering drawings

and

CAD files

(SolidWorks experience advantageous) Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for both

one-off and batch production

Carry out

in-process quality checks

to ensure components meet specifications Perform routine machinery inspections and report any maintenance requirements Assemble components using

hand tools

and

precision measuring instruments

, as needed Maintain a

clean, organised, and safe

working environment

About You



Proven experience operating

vertical borers

and/or

manual lathes

in a precision machining environment Capable of managing the full machining process from

raw material to finished part

with minimal supervision Strong commitment to

accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship

Excellent mathematical and measurement skills Reliable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Previous

manual machining experience

is essential
