We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy independently run veterinary practice. The candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and client care. Experience within a veterinary practice is a must and the position would suit a veterinary professional looking for a non-clinical role.
The ability to triage over the phone is very important and good communication skills are a must, as well as an ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Duties will include answering the phone, booking appointments, greeting clients, taking payments, making up medications, keeping the reception area clean and tidy as well as some other administration tasks and assisting the other veterinary staff as required.
This is a full time role - 40 hour week with a shift based pattern (8am-4pm or 11.30am-7.30pm), but may consider a part time position for the right candidate. Saturday shifts on a rota basis 8.30am-5pm. No Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Starting salary is National Minimum Wage but is dependent on experience.
