As part of this vision, we are expanding our remote clinical team and are looking for an experienced
Veterinary Clinical Pathologist
to support our growing network of clinics.
The Role
As a
Remote Clinical Pathologist
, you will play a critical role in supporting high-quality clinical decision-making across Snoots clinics. Your primary focus will be the
interpretation of laboratory results
, particularly haematology and biochemistry, and the delivery of
clear, structured clinical guidance
to both pet owners and in-clinic veterinarians.
This is a fully remote role, working closely with our London-based teams while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and interpret routine and complex laboratory results (haematology, biochemistry, urinalysis, endocrinology & cytology)
Provide clear, structured written interpretations and clinical recommendations
Communicate results and next-step plans directly to clients in a compassionate, easy-to-understand & timely manner
Liaise closely with in-clinic veterinarians to support diagnostic and treatment planning
Highlight abnormal or urgent findings and recommend appropriate escalation or further testing
Ensure documentation is accurate, thorough, and compliant with Snoots clinical standards
Contribute to the development of internal pathology protocols and guidance documents
Support consistency and clinical excellence across all Snoots sites
Requirements
Veterinary degree with eligibility to practice veterinary medicine
Must be eligible for RCVS registration
Postgraduate training or significant experience in veterinary clinical pathology
Strong working knowledge of haematology and biochemistry interpretation
Confidence communicating clinical findings to both veterinarians and pet owners
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
High attention to detail and a methodical approach to case review
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams
Reliable internet connection and a professional home working environment
Desirable
Pathology Board Certified - American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP) preferred. MMedVet(CLD) also considered.
Applications from board-eligible pathologists are also encouraged.
Previous experience in a diagnostic laboratory or referral setting
Experience supporting primary care or multi-site clinics
Familiarity with UK veterinary practice standards (training provided where needed)
