About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Nursing Team Leader who will be able to demonstrate excellent performance, a proven track record in customer service, team work, and delivering results.
Our Team Leaders support the Head Nurse, through leadership of part of the nursing team, to deliver efficient, professional and caring services to the local community in accordance with PDSA policies and procedures.
In this role you will manage a team of 7 Veterinary Nurses / Veterinary Care Assistants that support in theatre, provide inpatient care and carry out consults, encouraging financial contributions from clients and maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the hospital and equipment.
As a Team Leader, you will step in to support and deputise for the Head Nurse during periods of absence. In this role, you'll play a key part in embedding our Pet Wellbeing services across the hospital, fostering a culture of prevention through education and proactive healthcare initiatives.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our welcoming team at PDSA Basildon. We are offering a full-time, permanent position of 37.5 hours per week, with a varied shift pattern to provide flexibility.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday: Shifts between 8:00am - 7:00pm (7.5 hours per day)
Weekends: 1 in 6 rotation, working Saturday and Sunday from 9:30am - 6:00pm, followed by time off in lieu on Monday and Tuesday
