We are seeking a friendly and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
Answer phone calls promptly and courteously, managing appointment scheduling and enquiries
Maintain accurate patient records using veterinary computer software.
Perform data entry tasks efficiently, updating client and patient information regularly
Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and reminders in an organised manner
Handle administrative duties including filing, photocopying, and processing payments
Assist with general reception duties to support the veterinary team as needed
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications
Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar), and data entry software.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Good phone etiquette with clear communication skills.
Previous clerical experience or administrative background is beneficial but not mandatory
Ability to work well within a team whilst maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour
