Join our dedicated team and play a vital role in supporting our supplies team and patient care through safe and accurate medication management. As a Veterinary Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Dispense and prepare medications, including compounding tailored formulations. Manage stock and maintain compliance with controlled substance regulations. Ensure accurate record-keeping and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Monitor and maintain stock levels of and pharmaceuticals used in the hospital. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and being active in resolving any supply issues. Liaise with clinical teams to forecast demand of any special items required and manage stock rotation. Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and internal SOP's. Support the Supplies Lead in reporting, and procurement planning. Manage expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions are met. Assist in the development of stock-related policies or requests. Monitor stock changes of items against preferred suppliers. Ensure compliance of drug storage along with temperature control measures. Ensuring compliance is strictly adhered to with regards to with Controlled Drugs receipts and recording. Ordering through our PMS direct to our main drug supplier. Liaising with Clinicians regarding SIC' requirements for drug orders. Investigating new drug requests. Updating SOP's where necessary You will work closely with the supplies team, veterinary nurses and veterinary surgeons in dispensing medication for the dogs and cats under our care.

Motivated and well organised with the ability to work on their own initiative Have a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner with excellent interpersonal skills The ability to multitask, problem solve and prioritise whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality of work Be a team player with the ability to establish positive working relationships Can support and communicate effectively with clients, vet professionals, and fellow associates Previous experience in pharmacy or veterinary practice is an advantage, but full training will be provided.


This role includes training to achieve the SQP qualification, if not already held.



All applicants must also be eligible to work in the UK. A full UK driving license is required as this role involves travel between our two sites, which are one mile apart.

We are a true multidisciplinary referral only hospital with departments in orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, neurology, internal medicine, oncology, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. Each of the clinical disciplines is staffed to European Diplomate or RCVS Specialist standards.
