Role Summary
Stowe Veterinary Centre is seeking an additional administration assistant to join the team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and enthusiastic administrator to join our client accounts team. We are looking for someone with previous experience in
veterinary administration
. They must strive on attention to detail and fit into a friendly team of our other administrators. This is a fast-paced working environment and the ideal candidate must be able to work quickly and efficiently.
You will need to be confident in talking to clients on the telephone and in person about their account and discussing payment options compassionately with them in sometimes sensitive situations.
Principle areas of responsibility
Assisting with the day-to-day administration of the veterinary practice.
Processing insurance claims, monitoring payments and agreed plans.
Answering insurance queries from the clients and insurance companies.
Liaising with the veterinary surgeons to check any queries.
Assisting with all the financial queries arising from insurance claims.
Registering clients on Pet Health schemes, monitoring payments and services and medications dispensed.
Speaking to clients about any payment issues and all queries relating to the Pet Health scheme.
Liaising with the finance team regarding the Pet Health schemes.
Process new client registrations.
Assisting the Reception team during peak hours.
Monitoring email inboxes and responding appropriately to client and other queries.
Other Information
You will need to be flexible, patient and able to multi-task all day long.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills.
Working knowledge of a veterinary practice environment
.
Professional manner at all times.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multi-task.
Organisation of your time.
Experience of Microsoft Office - especially Excel and Word.
Professional email communication.
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to change within a growing practice.
Package
Monday to Friday - 20-40 hours per week (office-based no remote working).
Occasional Saturday cover may be required.
Starting salary in line with Government guidelines.
