The HR Booth are delighted to be recruiting a Veterinary Practice Assistant Technician on behalf of Inchcolm Veterinary Services.

We are located in Castle Industrial Centre, Queensferry Road, Dunfermline from where we are able to provide services and supply products quickly and efficiently throughout the UK and Europe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:





Answering incoming calls and directing to the correct member of staff. Making outbound calls to customers to gather information about their needs and how we can best support them. Participate in the on-call service on a rota'd basis to provide support via the telephone. Cold calling current customers and potential new clients. Responsible for filing and maintaining results, ensuring customers are updated. Responsible for orders and ensuring these are prepared and shipped in a timely manner and are filed appropriately. Ensure delivered stock is not faulty or damaged and quality checked before being stored.

As a Field Technician:



Visiting customers and building strong relationships with them. Identifying customer's needs. Propose veterinary visits to customers and follow up with vets. Ensure customer satisfaction. Assist and support customers and vets in sampling for national control programmes. Attend Poultry Sector Fairs and Congresses on behalf of and as part of the IVS team.


KEY PERSON CRITERIA:





A keen interest in working in a veterinary environment. Able to work well as a team as well as individually. Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills. Able to work in a fast-paced busy environment. Willing to learn and develp. Able to build strong relationships.

Please note that driving will be an essential part of this role, to travel to our clients, therefore a full UK Driver's Licence is considered essential.
