Salary

: Up to 70,000 per annum (D.O.E.) Relocation package available

Hours

: up to 40 hours per week, with a 1:10 full weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and 1:5 Saturdays with time back in Lieu

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Blacks Vets. This role will be mainly based at our Quinton site, but will require cover at our other branches. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who loves branch work and wants to make a branch their home. This role provides a mixture of consults and routine procedures, with support from a dedicated reception team, RVN, and PCA.

We are a small animal, first opinion hospital offering 24-hour care with a strong vet team of 19, including 7 Certificate holders in cardiology, dermatology, medicine, ophthalmology, and surgery - soft tissue and orthopaedic, plus fellow Vets currently studying further certificates Our practices have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment - including CT, a fully equipped dental suite (dental training available) 12 operating theatres, digital X ray, ultrasound, Endoscopy and in house laboratory. Our size, insured base, and varied caseload mean we can support a range of skill sets and continued professional development aspirations. We have constantly pushed the boundaries on delivering the highest pet care through the calibre and qualifications of our Vets and Nurses and through the friendliness and professionalism of our Client Care teams. We work closely with our network of referral sites within Linnaeus

The Team



Here at Blacks Vets, we have a proven track record of producing talent in a variety of disciplines from graduates to certificate holders, to branch management, leadership, and director roles. As a progressive, growing and highly successful practice, we are always on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our award-winning friendly team, at our accredited Veterinary Hospital in Dudley and our surrounding local branches (on the edge of the West Midlands, but all within 30 mins of Birmingham City Centre).


Not only do we have great clinical facilities, we also have a spacious break room - including posh coffees!


We have a dedicated night team on site that covers all OOH work. Our last appointment is at 6.30pm during weekdays, and weekend work is shared fairly amongst the team on a rota basis - with time back in lieu the following week.

What we are looking for



Ideally, you will be confident across all first opinion work including surgery and medicine RCVS registered with extensive first opinion experience Enjoys being part of a team and values high standards of care in all areas.
