Veterinary Surgeon
to our team.
The Role
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in
internal medicine or imaging
to join us
two days per week
. The ideal candidate will already hold, or be working towards, a certificate in one of these areas. You should feel confident working
sole charge
, managing a varied caseload, and performing a range of
routine surgeries
.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in small animals.
Perform routine surgeries such as neuters, lump removals, dentals, and soft tissue abdominal procedures.
Carry out diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and ultrasound.
Manage internal medicine cases, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate patient care.
Communicate clearly with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
Work independently when required, making sound clinical decisions.
Engage in continuing education and keep up to date with veterinary advancements.
Requirements
Interest and ability in
internal medicine and/or imaging
.
Confident in performing routine surgeries.
Comfortable working independently as well as within a team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service.
