Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon



Salary: Up to 66,000 (D.O.E) Plus 2,000 welcome bonus (for direct applicants) or up to 5,000 relocation package (T&Cs apply)



Location: Avonvale Veterinary Centre, (Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth), Warwickshire



Job Type: Permanent. Full-time



Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 days a week (8.30am-6.30pm) Part-time hours also available and minimal out-of-hours work.

Flexible role across sites - We're offering a unique opportunity to work across 2-3 of our practices, with flexibility to suit what works best for you. Work-life balance - While we're ideally looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon, we're happy to explore part-time options. Varied clinical caseload - Our vets bring a wealth of expertise in orthopaedics, acupuncture, laparoscopy, cardiology, imaging, feline medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and chronic pain management. Nurse-led services - Our nurses are highly skilled, with qualifications in emergency and critical care, anaesthesia, wound management, behaviour, and hydrotherapy. Professional development - We actively support further study, including certificates, if this is something you'd like to pursue. Outstanding facilities - We have 7 RCVS-accredited surgeries plus a central hospital in Warwick, equipped with CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and hydrotherapy units. Based in beautiful Warwickshire, you'll have the best of both worlds - countryside walks, historic castles, and top-rated schools, with Birmingham only 30 minutes away and direct trains to London.

The team



We have an experienced team of 30 vets including those holding certificates in medicine, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, feline medicine, ophthalmology, and diagnostic imaging who are always happy to offer support.


We are proud to be able to offer our clients 24-hour care and have our own team of night vets operating from our hospital. We are also lucky to have our own CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and hydrotherapy unit in addition to all the usual kit.


We are a very close-knit team who look after each other. We prioritise the wellbeing of our teams and also enjoy multiple team events each year, a highlight being Annie the Ice Cream vans visits.
