We're The Thrift, we love Thrifting and we're on a mission to create the ultimate destination for people just like us. The business has a decade long history starting from humble bedroom beginnings to pioneering the world of vintage streetwear and a couple of years ago opening the biggest vintage store in the UK, right here in Cardiff

After years of searching, a couple of months ago we discovered a crazy spot in Cathays and as soon as we saw it we knew we had to go for it. We've spent the Summer making it our home and when Freshers hits (22nd of September) the space is set to become something pretty special

- Your Role -

This is an important hire for us - we're hoping to find the right person who can grow with this new era of the business, starting with a primarily retail focused role and leading to being the main point of contact for the venue, allowing the owner to work remotely when needed

If your only interest is in the initial retail side of things thats also ok - we'll adjust according to what applications we receive

Initial Responsibilities:

Serving customers with our trademark as-far-from-a-pretentious-vintage-store-as-possible attitude (just be real basically) Opening and closing the store Prepping clothes by steaming, measuring etc. Packing online orders Rotating displays and keeping the place tidy and orderly Utilising our innovative AI powered process to list stock for our online store General warehouse work Helping us with our kilo sales and other events Grading and categorising stock

Qualities:

You'll be an invaluable part of our operation and the back bone of everything that we do. A well rounded individual able to take on the varied tasks that are required during the growth of a dynamic, young and creative company.

A good level of understanding of the world of second hand and vintage clothing Drawn to a role away from the traditional corporate world where you actually get to be yourself Have a strong work ethic, be proactive and able to show initiative A team player always happy to help out those around you. Responsible and reliable The ability to comprehend and work within the business' processes and work flows to achieve efficient operation All processes and systems are easy to understand but to be somewhat confident with the use of I.T. is a must We're passionate about what we're doing and we'd like to be around people that share that energy Cool with pigeons
