Here at Fortem we're recruiting for a Voids Supervisor for our Stonewater Housing contract, based in their head office in Chippenham. As a Voids Supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated team of tradespeople, ensuring that all voids work is completed efficiently and within tight deadlines.
The Client
Our contract with Stonewater is long term with the option to extend the partnership again. On our contract we cover over 7,500 houses in 4 different areas of the South-West, from Taunton and Yeovil, over to Bristol and Swindon and down to Salisbury and Bournemouth. We currently deliver Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and an Electrical Service program. We pride ourselves on our great customer service and our senior leadership team has years of experience within this sector which can help you develop your learning and knowledge base.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities o Lead, support, and inspire a team of tradespeople to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, meeting deadlines and achieving first-time success. o Collaborate with various departments and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels to deliver exceptional service. o Motivate, coach, and retain skilled tradespeople, fostering a positive and productive work environment. o Develop and implement a method for accurately assessing and categorising the competency levels of all team members. o Oversee the Health & Safety performance of contractors, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. o Manage the selection, recruitment, and ongoing performance of tradespeople, ensuring the team consistently meets company standards.
What You Will Need
Essential Criteria o Previous experience working on Void properties o Demonstrated experience managing void properties and overseeing associated works. o Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. o UK driving licence Desirable Criteria o Proven experience working within the social housing or construction industry. o Understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR) and their application in the industry. o Experience in surveying, with the ability to assess and evaluate property conditions effectively.
