Job Summary



We are seeking a highly motivated, non judgemental and organised Volunteer Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of the charity. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of our administrative functions, enabling us to deliver high-quality services to people living with HIV in Derby and Derbyshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your administrative skills while contributing to a meaningful cause.

Duties



General Administration

: Provide administrative support, including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.

Database Management

: Maintain and update records, ensuring data is accurate and handled confidentially in line with GDPR regulations.

Volunteer Support

: Assist with volunteer coordination, including maintaining schedules, communication, and records.

Event Support

: Help with the planning and administration of events, such as workshops, awareness campaigns, and fundraising activities.

Communication

: Respond to emails, phone calls, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate team members when necessary. Organise and take minutes of meetings and distribute as and when required

Document Preparation

: Assist with creating and updating documents, reports, in-house literature and presentations as needed.

Stock and Supplies

: Monitor office supplies and assist with ordering when required.

: A strong commitment to supporting people living with HIV and working in a non-judgmental, inclusive environment.

Languages:

Bilingualism is an asset (but not essential), especially in Punjabi, Urdu, French, Shona and Igbo

Preferred Qualifications:



Education

: A degree or diploma in administration, social work, or a related field is an asset.

Experience

: Familiarity with issues related to HIV and experience working in a health or social services environment. Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.

This is a voluntary role requiring approximately 10-20 hours per week, including occasional participation in charity events. We are only interested in applicants that can commit to these weekly hours.
