Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteers to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our mission and making a positive impact within the community. Volunteers will assist in our Patient Transport Service, offering up their time to take patients to healthcare appointments.

Volunteering as part of the HTG team, all you need is a smile, a friendly and caring disposition and the ability to support patients in a safe reliable car. Volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to transport patients and receive a vehicle mileage rate and out of pocket expenses.

Responsibilities

Pick up and drop off patients from their home to the required place of appointment/treatment Provide assistance to patients in and out of the car to their appointments Liaise with patients to coordinate times giving the best patient experience possible

Skills

A confident driver with knowledge of Cornwall's roads A valid UK driving license with no more than 6 points Good communication skills to interact effectively with patients Basic IT skills (like the use of smartphone)
