Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to lead and manage volunteer programmes within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support various community initiatives. Duties



Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies through various channels, including social media management and community outreach programmes. Coordinate volunteer onboarding, training, and ongoing development to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their roles. Supervise and support volunteers, providing guidance and recognising achievements to foster motivation and retention. Organise volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for our rota & events. Manage administrative tasks related to volunteer records, attendance, and feedback collection. DBS checks & compliance & Health & Safety. Maintain positive relationships with community partners, corporate companies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements



Proven supervising experience in a similar role. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate diverse groups of volunteers. Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Previous administrative experience including record keeping and report writing. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences. Demonstrated commitment to community service and organisational values. Strong relationship building skills. A positive team player, supporting & encouraging colleagues.

Pay: 26,422.00 per year
