We're looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our Cultural Services team at an exciting time of renewal and growth. With our beautifully refurbished theatre and museum set to re-open next year, this is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a new volunteer programme that will make a lasting impact on our community.
About the role
As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will:
Lead the design, launch, and delivery of a new volunteer programme across our Cultural Services
Work collaboratively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and the wider voluntary sector
Promote and grow the programme while developing a long-term volunteer engagement strategy
Recruit, train, support and motivate volunteers to contribute meaningfully across our venues
Ensure a high-quality experience for volunteers and the public alike
What we're looking for
We're seeking a dynamic, organised, and people-focused individual with:
Experience working with volunteers and the public in a front-line service
Strong people management, customer service, and communication skills
The ability to work independently, use initiative, and manage challenging situations
Excellent IT, administrative, and budget management skills
Previous management training and customer service training
