Volunteer Kitchen Assistant at The Mabel Churn Centre
Volunteers support the chef with meal preparation, serving foods and washing up throughout the day. This would particularly suit some with a catering background or who is interested in learning skills to develop a career in catering
.
The Mabel Churn Centre is a day-care centre for older people, especially those affected with dementia. We hold daily sessions that include arts, crafts, quizzes, exercise, movement and reminiscence. It also has a fully serviced kitchen so we can provide "home-cooked" meals on site.
The volunteer will report to the Day Centre Manager and Head of Care Services.
Time Commitment: 4 hours per
session/dayBetween 10am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday

Requirements
A DBS Enhanced check will be required as well as two references. Training to be provided around safeguarding, professional boundaries, GDPR and health and saftey.
Other Information
Travel costs and other volunteering expenses will be covered.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 1.00-2.00 per day
