Job Summary

We are seeking a Volunteer onsite shop assistant, to support our team of volunteers. Donated items are regularly received at the our sanctuary on a daily basis. Our shop is open a couple days a week, and we are looking to expand our opening days throughout the summer. To help us do this we are now looking for a couple of reliable volunteers that can help to manage and merchandise our shop, and help us raise much needed funds, to support and continue to look after the cats and rabbits in our care.

Responsibilities

Serving customers in our on - site shop. Prepare and sort out donations for selling Sell items online using social media platforms as well as eBay, vinted and Instagram Keep the shop clean, tidy and well organised Prepare the postage of smaller items or for the pick-up of larger items at the sanctuary. Working alongside other assistants to generate stock or customers.

Skills required

Good written and verbal communication skills Good customer service skills Good social media skills Able to work on own initiative Able to be creative Retail experience is an advantage Vintage fair experience desirable or a passion for vintage second hand sustainability. commitment for 1 or2days per week
This is a volunteer role, but we can offer in return ; Job experience and references for future employment, experience of using your skills and abilities to raise funds for the SAA, supporting the animals in our are, discount on price of donated goods
