Role Title: Volunteer Supplementary School Teacher

Saturdays 11am - 2pm
Role Description:
As a volunteer teacher, you will provide essential Mathematics support to children in Years 1 to 6 from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Your role will be instrumental in helping students build confidence, strengthen their academic skills, and adapt smoothly to their new learning environment. Through your guidance, you will empower young learners to reach their full potential and thrive in their education.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to students' needs.
Provide one-on-one or small group support to enhance learning.
Assist with homework, exam preparation, and understanding key concepts.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with other volunteers and ACAA staff to improve lesson plans and teaching strategies.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Passion for education and supporting young learners.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
Teaching experience or relevant academic background is beneficial but not required.
