As we head into 2026, you might be thinking about trying something meaningful and new. Supporting parent carers can make a real difference.
As a Parent Carer Volunteer, you will work alongside our carer advisors to support parent carers across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
You will help at local hubs, workshops, trips and online sessions, creating a welcoming space where parent carers can relax, share experiences and access support. From greeting people and making refreshments, to joining in with group activities and helping out at community events, your role will be about making people feel comfortable, valued and understood.
If you are approachable, friendly and enjoy connecting with others, this is a great opportunity to make a real difference to families in your community.
Where you will be based
You will be volunteering across
Cambridgeshire
, supporting both face-to-face sessions and virtual sessions via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
In-person hubs are usually held monthly across the county, often in local cafes or community venues such as Madingley Hall, where carers can meet for a walk and chat. There are also occasional trips and events for parent and adult carers.

Is this the role for you?
