Age Connects Torfaen is an independent registered charity with a vision to create a society where older people are respected and enabled to meet their aspirations. We are committed to tackling loneliness, isolation and poverty throughout Torfaen and the neighbouring boroughs.



After 12 years of supporting our Charity our Treasurer is retiring. Therefore, we are looking for a new trustee with some experience of financial management and experience to join our Board of Trustees to take over this role.

The Role

This is a voluntary position that would suit an individual with a few hours spare each month. Whereas the day-to-day financial work is undertaken by an employed finance officer who, together with the CEO, is also responsible for preparing the budgets, quarterly actuals, and year end accounts. The role of the Treasurer is to review these and report back to the Board of Trustees.



Age Connects Torfaen are an evolving charity and external accountants review all our financial information from the year, audit the accounts, and confirm that it shows a true and fair view of the Charity's finances.

If you have

Experience in an accounts background, with an understanding of financial accounts procedures, maybe running your own business, or working in a leadership role in public, private or third sector organisation or a bank for example, then we would like to hear from you.



Training and support will be provided.
