Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to support and guide young individuals in their personal and educational development. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with youth and a commitment to fostering positive relationships. As a Youth Mentor, you will play a crucial role in helping young people navigate challenges, build confidence, and achieve their goals.

Duties

Provide one-on-one mentoring to youth, offering guidance and support tailored to their individual needs. Assist in the development of life skills, including communication, problem-solving, and decision-making. Create engaging educational activities that promote learning and personal growth. Foster a safe and inclusive environment where young people feel valued and respected. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each youth's development. Monitor progress and provide feedback to both the youth and relevant stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and report on outcomes as required.

Experience

Previous experience in mentoring or youth work is highly desirable. Background in special education or related fields is an advantage. Demonstrated experience working with children in various settings (e.g., schools, community centres). Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds. A genuine interest in educating and empowering youth to reach their full potential.
