Volunteering Co-ordinator - Homebased/Remote Working

Permanent - 18.5 hours per week - Tuesday, Thursday & Friday


Remote working with occasional travel to Derby for meetings

32,125.00 per annum (pro-rata for part time)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate, dynamic, and proactive Volunteering Coordinator to join the experienced and established Central Volunteering Team team at MHA who lead on volunteer recruitment into all areas of the charity.

Work in a Business Partner model to assist care homes, Communities and Retirement Living Schemes to fulfil their volunteering requirements Provide a comprehensive, consistent, and professional resource to recruit and onboard volunteers into a variety of settings across MHA Proactively advertise for volunteers using a variety of methods including MHA website Select and onboard volunteers including interviewing, conducting DBS checks, collecting references, allocating training, delivering an online induction, distributing various documents, and liaising with sites to enable smooth transition of volunteers Utilise SugarCRM to record all progress Build good working relationships with all allocated sites Flexible in approach to meet the needs of volunteer applicants and in assisting colleagues
We offer the flexibility of remote working with occasional travel to head office in Derby for meetings.


The ideal candidate will be well organised to manage a high caseload of volunteers in the recruitment process, IT proficient including the use of CRM, able to prioritise and deal with a variety of different tasks and processes in a short space of time. The ideal candidate will also need to be friendly and approachable and have the ability to build good working relationships with allocates sites.


As the role is home based, a high level of commitment and motivation is required to perform at the level required to meet set targets around volunteer placement.
