The Finance Director reports to the GVP, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) of Publicis Sapient, with dotted reporting line to the Regional CFO, with whom the role works directly on a daily basis. The role is responsible for leading the regional Financial Reporting and Management Reporting teams, which are part of the overall Publicis Sapient Financial Planning & Analysis team, as well as part of the Publicis Sapient International Finance structure. The role will interact with and present to high levels of the organisation, including -but not limited to- the Global CFO and Corporate Finance team, regional Industry and Country Leads, global and regional Capacity Leads, Country and Global Account Leads and heads of GDD centres. As a senior leader within the global finance community, you will be relied upon to secure trust across the organisation that our financial information is accurate, timely, meaningful and reliable. The position requires strategic thinking and an ability and willingness to come up with creative and practical solutions to challenges related to our internal and external reporting needs. This position is meant to be filled by a seasoned and experienced finance leader possessing strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to lead, coordinate, and ensure timely delivery of multiple/concurrent projects, and be able to articulate messages in different manners to diverse audiences (i.e.) be able to have \xe2\x80\x9cbusiness\xe2\x80\x9d conversations with Industry Leads and business interlocutors, and be able to have \xe2\x80\x9cfinance\xe2\x80\x9d conversations with Finance teams).

Your Span of Control & Influence

You will report to GVP, Financial Planning and Analysis with a \xe2\x80\x9cdotted line\xe2\x80\x9d functional reporting line to the PS International CFO.

You will manage the Director, Financial Reporting and Director, Management Reporting for PS International, and lead the overall FP&A team across PS International

You will partner very closely with the VP, Controllership for PS International, as well as the VP, FP&A for North America and the rest of the FP&A team

You will work in concert with regional Client Finance leads, Finance Directors in other markets and Global/Regional Capacity and HR leads.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership guidance in the financial reporting and management reporting regional processes for all applicable stakeholders across the PS International region
  • Coordinate inter-departmental analysis (Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Client Finance, Controllership, Capacity) and ensure correlation and consistency in how the different teams view and understand financial information
  • Establish and secure alignment around new ways of working and analysing information, ensuring that specific issues particular to individual geographical markets (i.e.) system limitations or statutory requirements) are considered and addressed.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for all Publicis Groupe and Publicis Sapient policies and procedures relating to external and internal reporting, in particular those referenced in the Publicis Groupe \xe2\x80\x9cJanus\xe2\x80\x9d guidelines, ensuring that these are adhered to consistently and completely across all markets.
  • Provide Publicis Sapient Finance leadership and Industry Leads with answers to specific business questions, providing timely and accurate responses in the appropriate fashion (i.e., business responses to Industry Leads, finance responses to Finance interlocutors).
  • Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial analysis (Budget, Forecast and Actuals)
  • Lead and present the month-end financial statement reviews with Publicis Sapient global team and the Regional CFO, with focus on informing decision making by evaluating how the YTD actual performance potentially impacts forecast and progress towards financial goals.
  • Present to Industry and Country Leads financial performance metrics (industry and country contribution margins, capacity, utilization and bench ratios, etc.), ensuring that messages are concise and meaningful.
  • Partner with the regional and local Capacity leads, Country FDs and with the Publicis Sapient International Controller in monthly and quarterly closes to understand and be able to explain all significant financial and operational variances to budget/forecast and anticipate impact of monthly reporting on full year forecasts
Qualifications
  • 20 years of experience within FP&A or Financial/Management Reporting, or high level financial position in a company corporation (Agency CFO, regional finance lead)
  • Experience and proved ability to manage diverse and geographically extensive teams
  • Seniority to interact, strategize and provide answers/solutions to high-level operational and finance leaders across the region and the Publicis Sapient organisation
  • Experience in leading multiple diverse projects and tracks of work through to completion
  • Committed, detail oriented, self-starter with strong problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in time-sensitive environments
  • Outstanding communication skills to convey complex metrics and analysis clearly and accurately to internal teams and all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to theorize, develop and refine creative financial/operational models
  • Experience in leading projects and tracks of work through to completion
  • Perceptive discernment to identify problems, understand and be able to explain variances, evaluate consistency of financial information reported by agencies and calculate and project results
  • Proficiency in interpreting financial results and key ratios to analyse and project trends
  • Executive presence necessary to work with senior level management
  • Strong Excel skills including experience with financial/operational model building
  • Hyperion Financial Manager, Oracle, SAP and/or SalesForce experience preferred
  • Thrive under pressure and deadlines in a fast-paced organisation
Education
  • Four-year degree in Finance / Accounting
  • Master\'s degree preferred
