Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented

VRS Estimator

to join our commercial team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction estimating who is looking to develop their expertise in vehicle restraint systems (VRS). While prior VRS experience is preferred, it is not essential -- we are open to training the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify project requirements. Prepare and submit quotations, bids, and proposals in line with company standards. Conduct value engineering and risk assessments to optimise project costs. Maintain and update estimating databases and CRM systems. Support project managers with cost tracking and budget forecasting. Attend site visits and client meetings as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience in estimating within the construction or civil engineering sector. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency in estimating tools (e.g., Excel, CRM etc). Excellent communication and organisational skills. Knowledge of VRS or highways standards is advantageous but not essential. Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (desirable). Full UK driving licence.
