Role Description
We are looking for an operator to join our wafer manufacturing team, processing silicon wafers to create imaging sensors for science and space applications. The role of Wafer Processing Operator is to ensure the timely throughput of Imaging devices through Wafer Processing whilst meeting all Quality requirements.
These processes take place in cleanrooms so there is a requirement to work within this environment for long periods wearing a full clean room suit. You will not be able to wear make up and are required to not have smoked/ vaped 4 hrs before entering the cleanroom.
To succeed in this role you will be required to:Be self-motivated Have a positive Health and Safety mindset Be capable of multitasking in a complex environment Have a high level of attention to detail Be quality driven Strong personal accountability with a team working ethic and drive for timely completion of tasks Interface well with others, with effective communication skills Work in a cleanroom environment Work alternating double day shifts (6:00- 14:00pm Monday- Thursday, 6:00-13:30 Friday, 13:30-21:30 Monday- Thursday, 13:30 - 21:00pm Friday), though day shifts can be considered (7:30-15:30 Monday-Thursday, 7:30-14:45 Friday)


The responsibility of the role includes:Setting up accurately and running a number of wafer processing tools Maintaining production records Providing progress reports to Line Manager Use of chemicals for specific processes Using a microscope for inspection
